ENHANCING YOUR CONSCIOUSNESS

Practicing qigong is not only about increasing ones qi, it also subtly enhances ones consciousness.  You will have more awareness of the conditions of your mind and body.  For example, you may start to notice how your mental status and body react to different exogenous factors, like weather changes. You may even notice how various emotions affect your different organs. You will be able to make more sound decisions. That is why many people are able to get rid of their addictions to drugs, alcohol, cigarettes, etc after practicing Tai Chi Qigong Shibashi. Indeed, you will start to see the world differently and be a happier person.

Practicing qigong is about habit changes.  Do not expect qigong to help much if you continue to abuse your body.  One habit change I want to talk about is your sleeping time.  Studies have found that those who are working night shift may have a higher risk to different health issues.  In order to be healthy, not only is a sufficient of amount of qi important, the amount of blood circulating in your body is also very important.  According to T.C.M., your body is making blood between 11pm-3am when the qi is focusing on the gall bladder and liver meridians.  Part of the function of gall bladder and liver is making blood.  Therefore, the ideal time to go to bed is before 11pm.  You may notice that those who have a habit of sleeping after 3am, usually have faces that are pale.  Try to sleep early and wake up early to practice qigong. You will see significant improvement to your health.

DISTANCE HEALING

When I was learning the Tibetan Solar Energy Qigong for Healing many years ago, my master had a difficult time convincing some students to believe in distance healing.  But with the help of quantum physics, it is now easier to explain many of the different phenomenons.  I am not going to go into details here of how distance healing works. I just want to enhance your consciousness by introducing the concept of entanglement and nonlocality in quantum mechanics. To put them in layman’s terms, it simply means that everything in the universe is made up of tiny waves of energy that are all connected regardless of distance.  The same thing can be in different locations at the same time.  These have all been proven in the lab.  If you understand these concepts, distance healing may not be so strange after all.  In my previous newsletter, http://www.taichi18.com/news06.htm I talked about the concept of empowerment, some people showed doubts about it.  What do you think of it now?

M-THEORY

I had introduced the Superstring theory (some call it the M-theory) in my last newsletter.  When I look further into them (Superstring & M-theory), I see something interesting.  There are 5 different string theories, but they are basically talking about the same thing from different angles.  M-theory combines the 5 theories together.  This theory is basically a formula that unifies the 5 fundamental forces in the universe, they are: gravitational, magnetic, electric, weak nuclear and strong nuclear.  According to the Superstring theory, all the different types of elementary particles can be derived from 5 types of interactions between just 2 different states of strings.  The 2 different states are: open and closed.  In the traditional Chinese philosophy, yin and yang are the 2 basic states of everything. Different combinations of yin and yang create the 5 elements that, in turn, constitute the universe.  Do you see a similarity?
